Mindfull Trail Walk

Come join Misfits in the Sandia mountain foothills where we will practice mindfulness of walking on a trail that leads to Juan Tabo canyon. At the rocky outcrop with a view of the canyon bottom we’ll have a period of sitting meditation and some refreshments. Please wear shoes that are sturdy, be prepared for windy and/or cool conditions (like a hat and windbreaking jacket/layers), and bring water. This is a mildly uphill walk and we will be in low gear, going slower than on a usual hike, with the intent to practice mindfulness in whatever way you’d like.

We’ll meet at the Intersection of Forest Road 333 and Tramway Boulevard, just outside the Albuquerque city limits. FR 333 is a narrow, paved road that goes to several trailheads in the foothills including the well known La Luz trailhead. Once you turn onto 333 from Tramway, you will cross a cattleguard and right away there will be a dirt pull-off to the right with a big brown Forest Service sign. You’ll see a white Toyota Tundra parked there. We will carpool to the small pull-off for the walk. Email misfitfitsanghaabq@gmail.com if you have questions.
